An outdoor day in Borgarbyggð, June 7th

An outdoor day in Borgarbyggð, June 7th. Breakfast in Skallgrímsgarður. The municipality of Borgarbyggð invites everyone to a free outdoor breakfast in the garden from 10 to 12 am.  

 

 The fire brigade introduces  its operation.Open house in Reykholt from 13:00 – 15:00 pm. Representation of the facilities in Reykholti. Open house in Borgarnes from 15:00 – 18:00 pm. The center of fire protection delivers Borgarbyggð officially a new fire truck.    

 

Representation of outdoors areas. The territory of Einkunnir 13:00 – 17:30 pm. Walk along the area with guidance of two comittee members of caretakers of Einkunnir; Finnur Torfi Hjörleifsson og Hilmar Már Arason. Starting point is the car park in Einkunnir at 13:45 and be aware of that you need good shoes for the walk!!  A bus will be driving between the hourse stables and Einkunnir. The first drive from the horse stables is at 13:00 pm and the last is from Einkunnir at. 17:30.  A new brochure about Einkunnir will be distributed on the bus.  The exposion of the 10th cairn of settlement from the cairn-pjoject. The is a walk to the cairn which begins at 13:45. Open house will be at the scouts at Fluga from 14:00 – 17:30. The grill will be hot from 15:00 – 17:30.  The angling association of Borgarnes offers a course in fishing at the lake Álatjörn from 14:00 – 17:00 pm.

The horse association Skuggi invites children to ride horses. Horses will be lead by the reins at the stables at 14:00 – 16:00 pm.  

 

The forest in Reykholt from 13:00 – 17:00.The offsprings of Einar Pálsson formally deliver a detailed land-us plan of Reykholt to the association of forestry in Borgarfjörður and the manse in Reykholt and gives them the intendance of the area at 13:00.  A walk from the church at 14:00, around the area  with the guidance of minister Geir Waage in Reykholt.  There will be a hot grill in Konungslundur from 15:30.  

 

Cultural events: Children for 100 years.
